The Fire Alarm Sales/Estimator will be responsible to develop and maintain customer relationships with electrical contractors, general contractors, and end-users with a focus on new projects and upfits. The salesperson is responsible for generating new installation sales of fire alarm and detection systems as well as other low voltage systems. The fire alarm sales representative will be expected to work closely with all Departments to sell all-inclusive services to customers.

Requirements: 
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the life safety industry in order to provide an exceptional customer experience.
  • Interpersonal Savvy: Relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.
  • Communicates Effectively: Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.  
  • Organization: Able to classify and monitor documents in an orderly and efficient manner.
  • Teamwork: Able to anticipate leadership voids or gaps and actively fills them or ensures that they are being addressed.

Responsibilities: 
  • Work primarily with Electrical Contractors, General Contractors, and/ or owners for system sales. 
  • Aptitude for technical knowledge with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Actively pursue opportunities with existing and new prospective customers to build a business.
  • Maintain a positive attitude that fosters a healthy collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct self-study and research as required to stay abreast of emerging technology in the life safety industry and updated policies and regulations in the market.
  • Interested in self and team development as well as adding maximum value in a complex, exciting sales environment.
  • Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships that meet or exceed the expectations of a long-term partner.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years Fire Alarm sales/estimating experience.
  • Familiar with reading and understanding construction documents, including bid forms, plans, specifications, contracts, purchase orders and general agreements.
  • Must be familiar with NFPA standards and local codes.
  • Ability to analyze hazards and identify appropriate design approaches to prepare preliminary plans, identify material, equipment, and price-related items to prepare accurate detailed cost estimates.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products specifically Outlook and Excel.
Must have the willingness to be a team player.
Pay Range:
  • Pay depends on your level of experience and education.
