Position Overview:The Recruiting & Human Resources Specialist will play a critical role in attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent for our mental health services. This role requires a deep understanding of both HR practices and the unique needs of the mental health field. The ideal candidate will have experience in recruiting and HR, with a strong emphasis on mental health professionals, and will be adept at managing HR functions to support a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified mental health professionals, including therapists, counselors, psychologists, and support staff.
  • Conduct job analyses and create detailed job descriptions and specifications for various positions within the organization.
  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and partnerships with educational institutions.
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and facilitate the selection process in collaboration with hiring managers.
  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs, career events, and networking opportunities to promote the organization and attract top talent.

Human Resources Management:
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and positive integration into the organization.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements and support the organization's goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, including benefits, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, particularly in areas related to mental health services and care.
  • Assist in managing employee relations and fostering a positive workplace culture that promotes employee well-being and engagement.

Compliance and Best Practices:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in HR and mental health fields to continuously improve recruitment and HR processes.
  • Work closely with leadership to align HR initiatives with organizational objectives and strategic goals.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Recruiting & Human Resources Specialist, with a focus on recruiting mental health professionals.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and New Jersey employment laws.
  • Strong understanding of the mental health field, including the industry's various roles, qualifications, and challenges.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively.
  • Proficiency with HR software and recruitment tools.
