A thriving midsized construction company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their management team working from their London, KY HQ.

As a leading competitor in the construction sector, the company is dedicated to delivering excellence and innovation in every project they undertake.

Position Overview:
  • The CFO will play a pivotal role in guiding financial strategies, optimizing performance, and driving profitability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. CFO collaborates with project managers and stakeholders to analyze project costs, identify variances, and implement cost-saving measures. 
  • The company is dedicated to fostering a culture of collaboration, integrity, and accountability.

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($150k - $250k) and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Candidates must live in the commutable area working a minimum of three days in the London, KY office weekly with two possible remote workdays.

Highlighted Duties:
  • Serve as a valued strategic business partner to company leadership 
  • Lead and oversee the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives 
  • Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support decision-making at the project and executive level
  • Providing strategic guidance on project cost accounting to optimize performance and drive profitability
  • Manage capital allocation, investment decisions, and risk management strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operational efficiency and drive cost-saving initiatives
  • GAAP compliance (federal, state, industry requirements and required reporting)
  • Conduce business as the finance and accounting leader and mentor fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Highlighted Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus
  • Proven track record of success in a senior financial leadership role within the construction industry
  • Expertise in construction project cost accounting
  • Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, project cost management, and financial controls
  • Strong business/operations acumen
  • Passion for continuous improvement; experience streamlining policies and procedures
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities
  • Experience with financial systems and software
