Full-timeREPORTS TO: Yard Manager.COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience ranging from $16-$20 per hour.EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time - 40 hours/week.
WORK SCHEDULE:During the following hours of operation: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Saturday as needed 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.
JOB OVERVIEW:Scrap metal yard located in Ashville NY, seeks a General Laborer/Heavy Equipment Operator to handle day to day tasks. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Material purchase entries, including weighing truck in/out, verifying accounts/prices.
- Creating and maintaining all outbound documents.
- Clerical and administrative support including filing.
- Communicate with yard personnel using a 2-way radio.
- Assist with yard projects as assigned.
- Sorting various metals by grade and preparing outbound loads.
- Move material using various forms of heavy equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Drivers’ License.
- Strong attention to detail as well as an efficient, hardworking, and dependable attitude.
- Computer aptitude (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Ability to work with little or no supervision, are flexible and a team player.
- Detail Oriented.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to Operate Heavy Equipment/Forklift Helpful.
