AB Staffing is looking for Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) who are available for the 2024/2025 school year.

Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) Job Description:
  • Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location - SLP will be required to travel between multiple sites in Los Angeles, metro area
  • Travel Locations (Will NOT travel to all): Long Beach, Orange, Buena Park, Chino Hills, Fontana, Riverside, Hemet, Ridgecrest
  • IN-PERSON | Travel: up to 25%
  • Contract through the 2024/2025 school year – 37.5 to 40 hours per week
  • The contract follows the academic district calendar

Salary:
  • $63-$90/hr.
  • Travel and Hotel expense reimbursement
  • Plus $1,000 sign-on bonus
  • Weekly direct deposit every Friday
  • Benefits Available include Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K

Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) Requirements:
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health-related field such as Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work preferred.
  • Must be certified in the state of California as a BCBA
  • Knowledge of emotional and behavioral disorders
  • Experience with instructional and behavioral intervention methods in a school setting is preferred.
  • Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to different schools within the assigned district.

Job Duties:
  • Actively participate on various educational teams to support proactive and responsive behavioral interventions to support students with challenging behaviors.
  • Support the implementation of functional behavior assessments
  • Lead, develop, and implement of applying applied behavior analysis principles in the classroom, such as pairing, natural environment teaching, and discrete trial instruction.
  • Assist in the coordination of school and home support for the purpose of providing a comprehensive program for students.
  • Assists in the development of instructional materials, accommodations, modifications, assessments, and data collection tools needed for individual students.
  • Collect and summarize behavior data for the purpose of assessing and monitoring student progress.
  • Demonstrate cooperation, openness for growth, and willingness to contribute to a team approach to the educational program.
  • Facilitate and coach teams through the development and implementation of functional behavior assessments/behavior intervention plans and crisis plans for identified students.
  • Provide social skills instruction to students utilizing research-based methodologies and approved district curricula.
  • Participate in Professional Development Coaching team meetings and professional learning opportunities.
