United Electric is currently accepting applications for a Lead Electrician position. United Electric services Ventura, Santa Barbara and select areas of Los Angeles Counties. We are proud to be family owned and operated since 1979.  United Electric is a fully licensed and insured contracting company specializing in custom, new and remodel commercial, industrial and residential work.

Applicants must:
  • Able to co-ordinate and supervise several ongoing projects at one time.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a highly motivated team of 2-5 techs - directing or training workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Read and interpret drawings and documentation and initiate revisions when applicable.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager on electrical system layout and plan.
  • Effectively maintain project schedules and coordinate daily work activities.
  • Responsible to submit clear and accurate job progress reports and documentation.
  • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
  • Place conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
  • Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes, connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Install and troubleshoot (but not limited to) electrical systems, general wiring, lighting and controls, power distribution systems, assessing all options available and take the necessary steps to resolve any obstacles or issues.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Perform business management duties, such as maintaining records or files, or ordering supplies or equipment.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving or lifting heavy objects.
  • Provide preliminary sketches or cost estimates for materials or services.
  • Own all necessary power and hand tools required for jobs such as but not limited to - power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Possess good communication skills Have an ability to invoke trust and instill value in our services.
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs.
