Hydro Blast Technician  USA DeBusk is a best-in-class mechanical and industrial cleaning services provider specializing in servicing the downstream energy market.  We offer the full suite of maintenance and turnaround services including hydro blasting, hydro cutting, hydro excavation, chemical cleaning, PEPTM polymer extraction service, vacuum services, tank cleaning, degassing/vapor control, FCC catalyst handling and transportation, and specialty turnaround services.  Founded in 2012, USA DeBusk currently has field offices in 24 cities and continues to provide services internationally.
Summary/Objective:The Hydro Blast Technician will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, vacuum truck operations, waste disposal, site remediation and high-pressure water blasting.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and set-up all necessary cleaning equipment such as high-pressure pumps, in service line hydro-blasting, and vacuum), in accordance with operational and training and guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
  • Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heaving industrial settings.
  • Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets and all other external and internal equipment on tanks.
  • Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps and general work area prior to starting any job. Informs supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries or lost productivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.
  • Valid driver’s license or identification card.
  • Respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week if called upon.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time within a confined space, in extreme temperature environments and at high elevation.
  • Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific procedures and directions.
  • Ability to lift, move and handle up to 50lb hoses.
  • Successfully complete drug screen, pre-employment physical and all required background checks.
  • TWIC (transportations worker identification card preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, move and handle up to 50lb hoses.
  • Physically capable to stand and/or walk continuously for long periods of time if necessary.
  • Physically capable to climb, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.
  • Physically capable to climb ladders and scaffolds (vertical and inclined) to heights in excess of 10’ ft.
  • Physically capable to frequently crouch, push/pull, squat, and work above the shoulders during the performance of the daily job routine.
