The Mammography Technologist at Woodlands Primary Healthcare is responsible for performing a range of mammographic procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. The technologist must uphold the organization’s values and mission by demonstrating professional behavior and communication that reflects our commitment to compassionate, personalized healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:  
  • Perform mammographic and related radiographic procedures, using independent judgment to ensure high-quality imaging and accurate diagnostic results.
  • Operate and maintain various radiographic equipment (mammographic, ultrasound,), and ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols.
  • Maintain mammography equipment, perform quality control/assurance, and ensure compliance with MQSA, ACR, FDA, and state regulations.
  • Monitor and document patient data throughout procedures and ensure that all supplies and emergency trays are properly stocked.
  • Assist in identifying abnormal anatomy or pathology, adjusting procedures as required, while providing personalized care that meets patients' physical and developmental needs.
  • Participate in maintaining accreditation standards and report any equipment malfunctions or incidents.
  • Uphold organizational policies on time management, supply usage, and service quality, while participating in professional development and mentoring less experienced staff.
  • Perform other assigned duties, including on-call emergency services, while demonstrating a commitment to compassionate and personalized patient care.
Qualifications:

Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, with additional certification in Mammography Technology.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS/ALS).
  • Texas Medical Board license (MRT) or temporary license required.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT (ARRT-R).
  • Registered Mammography Technologist with ARRT (ARRT-M).

Experience/Skills:
  • Prefer a minimum one (1) year patient facing experience.
  • Ability to safely lift or maneuver patients in collaboration with other staff to perform mammography procedures.
  • Familiarity with radiation safety protocols and experience in patient positioning, imaging techniques, and quality control.
