Estimator / Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Asphalt Estimator to join our team.

The Estimator is responsible for preparing proposals and securing contracts for Asphalt Paving Work.  This is accomplished by either meeting prospective clients on site determining their needs or by reviewing construction drawings (Blueprints) and preparing an estimate based upon the scope of work and specification outlined in the drawings.  You will communicate with the prospective client and secure contracts for The Company.

Once the contract is secured, you will coordinate all scheduling with the Operations Department and oversee the work to ensure the Client's needs are met.  You will verify al work is completed 100% per the clients expectations and that payment is made to The Company for he work.

We work throughout the Chicagoland Area and you  will be expected to be able to plan your day and visit prospective clients as required each day while still overseeing ongoing projects you may have.

Required Skills are:

• Very professional appearance and communication when dealing with clients.
• Elevated Attention to detail is a must
• Understand project costs and know how to stay under budget
• Negotiate material purchases
• Be able to effectively communicate the Client's expectations to the crew foreman
• Ability to Prepare detailed daily reports for management

Applicants should have minimum 3 years of experience estimating construction
