Purchasing & Materials Manager - Lighting Fixtures Division
Location: Woburn MA.

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing and Materials Manager to become an integral part of the Lighting Fixtures Division team located in Woburn MA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company, ideally in electrical assemblies or electronic components.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage purchasing, materials planning and inventory management functions in Light Fixtures Division.
  • Develop and maintain weekly and longer-range materials plans.
  • Review BOMs and technical drawings to determine material needs for production builds.
  • Ensure that materials are properly ordered and delivered ahead of an assembly build.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts as needed and regularly update inventory and procurement systems.
  • Manage all stockroom material movement and transactions
  • Pick kits for the production team
  • Pack out finished goods for shipment
  • Communicate with vendors on delivery and quality requirements.
  • Assist in conducting inventory and materials cost analysis and tracking costs and profits.
  • Research and analyze supplier KPIs, products and identify cost savings and or logistics issues.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments and suppliers, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams on BOMs and shop drawings.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
  • Manage lower-level resources as assigned.

Requirements And Skills:
  • 5+ years of proven experience managing purchasing and material plans in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations or engineering management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience of working with BOM management software, QMS, MRP, ERP systems.
  • Possess a high sense of urgency, attention to detail, a “do whatever it takes to get the job done” attitude.
  • Previous experience with Quickbooks Enterprise.
  • Good Inter-personal skills, strong organizational skills, and diligent follow-up are pre-requisites for this role.
