Queen’s Price Chopper – Cashier
Full-Time or Part-Time

The primary purpose of a Cashier is to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.

A Cashier is responsible for providing fast, friendly, and accurate checkout services.
The cashier is to ensure that the prices and quantities are accurate, accept payment, issue receipts, answer inquiries and provide helpful information to the customers about products, promotions, and item location.

Cashiers also respond to complaints with genuine concern and assist the Customer Service team in creating a positive store atmosphere for customers and a positive working environment for Associates while working safely.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Observe all store rules and company policies.
  • Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations.
  • Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service.
  • Observe shift-operating hours at all times as scheduled by the department manager.
  • Engage the customer in casual conversation and Thank them.
  • Be able to work within a team and be willing to learn.
  • Handle food safely and keep their area clean.
  • Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with store policy and state and local health regulations on an ongoing basis.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Able to exert or lift to 50 pounds occasionally and exert or lift negligible amounts of weight often.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent preferred.
  • Prior work experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
