Job Summary:
The Blender Technician works with vitamin supplement batches and is responsible for carefully mixing raw ingredients to ensure the consistency, safety, and quality of the final product. This position includes weighing and measuring ingredients, preparing the blending equipment, blending the ingredients, performing quality checks, maintaining detailed document logs and adhering to GMP and FDA regulatory guidelines.

Job Type: Full-time.
Work Schedule: 6:30 am - 2:30 pmPay: $18.75 per hour.
Responsibilities:
  • Able to set up and operate the blending equipment. 
  • Checking the grounded material for proper flow and particle size. 
  • Blends grounded materials according to batch record instructions, discharging granulation from blenders into proper storage containers. 
  • Labels containers of blended granulation for proper identification. 
  • Weighs each container, records weights on both the labels and batch record. 
  • Make appropriate entries onto batch records, labels, and logbooks, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Check and verify for expiration dates, raw materials, color and texture are acceptable. 
  • Maintains an orderly work area, clean room(s) and equipment as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures. 
  • Maintain the blending room and machine cleanliness while processing a product within specified guidelines.
  • Report to Lead/Supervisor for any discrepancy.
  • Follows Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety Practices at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Lead, Supervisor, and/or Manager.
 
Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • 0-2 years of production work experience.
  • Follows written batch record instructions.
  • An understanding of basic mechanics.
  • Ability to use calculator to add, multiply, subtract and divide decimals and basic units of measure.
  • Must possess general knowledge of safe practices in the use of tools and equipment.
  • Basic math, reading, writing skills needed.
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires sitting, standing, walking; lifting, no more than 50 pounds; slight bending and maneuvering.
