Essential competencies required before applying include: 

  • Experience: 1 year, but will train the right person if they are dedicated and a quick learner. 
  • PMS: Denticon experience a plus, but not a requirement. 
  • Clinical Skills: Proficiency in assisting with dental procedures, taking X-rays, sterilizing equipment, and performing chairside duties. Coronal polish is a plus.
  • Patient Care: Ability to interact with patients in a compassionate and caring manner, providing comfort and reassurance during dental treatments.
  • Infection Control: Knowledge of proper infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases and maintain a safe dental environment. 
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team, including dentists, hygienists, and office staff, to provide efficient and high-quality patient care. Must be a team player with a can-do attitude. 
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively explain procedures to patients, answer their questions, and provide clear instructions for post-treatment care.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to pay close attention to detail when assisting with dental procedures, maintaining accurate patient records, and following treatment plans. 
  • Organization and Time Management: Effective organizational skills to manage patient schedules, maintain equipment and supplies, and ensure smooth workflow in the dental office. 
  • Professionalism: Demonstrating professionalism in all interactions with patients and colleagues, including maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards. 
  • Continuing Education: Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development to stay current with advancements in the field of dentistry and be willing to be coached.

Requirement and qualifications:
  • Coronal Polish a plus
  • Knows how to take x-rays
  • CPR license.
  • Driver's license.
  • Be open to training and be "a" team player.

Duties:
  • Patient Education.
  • Helps sterilize and bag instruments.
  • Break down and set up the room.
  • Take x-rays
  • Take dental scans
  • Coronal polish is a plus
