The Inventory and Procurement Associate plays a critical role in inventory management for the company. They are responsible for charging out all parts to the appropriate work order or through the Point-of-Sale module, performing cycle counts, and reporting inventory count variances.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist Staff/Vessel Personnel with parts and charge to appropriate work order.
  • Assist sub-contractors with parts for purchase via POS.
  • Organize and restock shelves.
  • Monitor inventory, perform cycle counts and report shortages/variances.
  • Keep a clean work area. (Sweep floors, Disassemble boxes)
  • Check in and perform receiving transactions for freight trucks and deliveries.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities:
  • Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area.
  • Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
Technical and Physical Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior marina experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of marine systems preferred.
  • Computer Skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
