ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
  • Consistently motivates Grindstone Laundry Associates to ensure high levels of morale and productivity.
  • Coordinates daily workloads with associates at various workstations.
  • Trains Grindstone Laundry Technicians on assigned shifts in the proper execution of their responsibilities.
  • Responsible for complying with all Grindstone Laundry inspection processes.
  • Assist Grindstone Laundry Driver(s) in loading, unloading, and weighing the linens onto and off of trucks.
  • Operates washing machines, dryers, and folding machines in accordance with recommended capacity and other manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Pre-sorts linens to locate and remove damaged items. Follows all policies and procedures with regard to handling lost and found items. Stores clean and fold linens in appropriate areas.
  • Notifies Grindstone Laundry Technician Supervisor or Manager of incidents or conflicts that affect normal business operations or Guest Services.
  • Ensures compliance with energy conservation and job safety regulations.
  • Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company mission, vision, and values.
  • Displays a high level of maturity, discretion, tact, judgment, and the ability to deal with confidential matters.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or ability to pass our Basic Skills Assessment.
  • One (1) year of previous commercial laundry experience is preferred.
  • Or successful completion of a related company-approved development placement program.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be able to pass company pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test.
  • Must be able to secure a license from the Gaming Regulatory Authority.
  • Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
  • Responsible for following all relevant DGRs.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small groups of associates.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to:
  • Talk and hear;
  • See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision;
  • Stand, walk, run, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl;
  • Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.
  • Lift and/or move objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:
  • A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
  • A moderate-to-loud noise level (public areas).
  • Second-hand cigarette/cigar smoke.
