Responsibilities:
  • Conduct physical examinations and record patient medical histories.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
  • Perform procedures like suturing wounds and administering injections.
  • Educate patients on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Requirements:
  • Valid Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in VA.
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology for accurate patient assessment.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Experience with electronic health record systems (e.g., ECW).
  • Ability to perform physical examinations and assess vital signs accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Prior experience in primary care or a related field preferred.
  • Interest in clinical research is a plus.
  • Spanish-speaking is an asset.
  • PALS and ACLS Certifications required.

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: Starting at $65.00 - $80 per hour

Expected Hours: 24 hours per week
