Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot 480V 3-phase electrical systems.
• Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
• Ensure all electrical systems are operating efficiently and safely.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Adhere to all safety standards and company policies on lockout/tagout.
• Read, write, and understand electrical schematics, equipment drawings and manufacturer documentation.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair on a variety of electrical equipment during production hours, keeping safety at the forefront.
• Able to complete all tasks without having direct supervision.
• Communicate effectively and in an appropriate manner with all plant personnel.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Journeyman’s license or equivalent. 3rd and 4th-year electrical apprentices will also be considered, depending on experience.
• Wood product industry experience is a plus.
• 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience with an emphasis in troubleshooting motor control circuits.  Experience working with Allen Bradley Motor Control Centers and PLCs is highly desirable.   
• Experience and troubleshooting VFD-controlled circuits.  Experience with Yaskawa VFDs is an asset.
• Solid background in 480 Volt three-phase, single-phase, and DC systems.
• Working knowledge of the National Electric Code
• Physical requirements:  Walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
