The Marriott Phoenix Airport is currently looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to assist the Director of Housekeeping with overall supervision of the department.

POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. after being cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards.
  • Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms.
  • Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities.
  • Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
  • Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
  • Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments.
  • Communicate issues to next shift. Complete required paperwork.
  • Assist with inhouse laundry, including cleaning, folding, pressing of linen and terry supplies.
  • Assists with daily, weekly and monthly inventories to assure appropriate supplies are available for current and future months.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • Must be able to work all shifts including, AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed accuracy, follow through, and work with a minimum supervision.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English.
  • Must be able to grip , bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Six to twelve months of related or equivalent experience  in Hotel Housekeeping Position preferred
  • Requires a working knowledge of the housekeeping aspect of services, policies or operations and general knowledge of the hotel.
  • Requires the ability to operate various computer systems.
  • Provides support to Executive Housekeeper in the delivery of incentives and programs that promote positive associate relations.
  • Provides support to Executive Housekeeper to ensure that guest satisfaction scores meet or exceed brand benchmarks.
  • Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.
