Middle/High School Teacher

Location: Pinnacle Charter School, Nogales, Arizona, United States (On-site).
About the Role: Pinnacle Charter Schools is seeking a dynamic and supportive Middle/High School Teacher to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering engaging virtual lessons, grading assignments and quizzes, and providing detailed feedback on students' progress. Your aim will be to foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse student needs and promotes academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and present virtual lessons tailored to students' educational needs.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents, at least once or twice per week.
- Grade assignments and quizzes within 24-48 hours of submission, providing comprehensive feedback.
- Build positive relationships with students and parents.
- Motivate students to meet attendance and academic standards.
- Encourage participation in virtual classrooms and tutoring sessions.
- Assist in administering standardized tests.
- Engage in professional development and departmental meetings.
- Manage multiple tasks independently while prioritizing effectively.
- Foster a culturally diverse and inclusive environment.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant specialization. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven teaching experience, ideally in a virtual or similar setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems.
- Exceptional verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate (or in the process of obtaining one), or 25+ credits in the relevant subject area.
- Level 1 (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
