The Manager, Crown & Bridge Department is a skilled crown and bridge dental technician, first and foremost. The Manager, Crown & Bridge Department will be responsible for the overall management of the digital and analog crown and bridge department at this Dental Lab. This includes overseeing the quality control of outgoing cases, assessing the needs of incoming cases, adapting the workflow to meet the departmental needs, and frequent communication with dentists and dental offices regarding cases. This position will also require training crown and bridge technicians. Looking for a leader. One who is strategic and can see the big picture. This person will lead well and help grow the department as well as the company. Leader, QC with little benchwork but not opposed to bench work if needed. This person must know all processes and procedures in the lab and really know crown and bridge department. Responsibilities
  • Supervise the crown and bridge digital design team, the ceramic team, the model room and ancillary crown and bridge staff members 
  • Distribute work to team members and maximize workflow to calibrate to our departmental capacity 
  • Train and educate team members to grow our collective employee knowledge 
  • Problem solve difficult cases and employee challenges
  • Assist customers with technical questions and challenges regarding crown and bridge cases 
  • Collaborate with Removable department for hybrid combo cases 
  • Quality control all cases leaving the crown and bridge department 
  • Assist with crown and bridge production when needed 9) Edit cases in our case management system for billing and communication purposes

Qualifications
  • \Must have 5+ years’ experience working with crown and bridge cases 
  • Must have management experience including successful supervision of employees 
  • Excellent communication skills with team members and clients 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work
  •  Strong understanding of dental anatomy and occlusion 
  • Deep knowledge of different crown and bridge materials and the process to fabricate (PMMA, PFM, PFZ, Zirconia, Hybrid Ceramics, Composites) 
  • Knowledge of dental implants with its different solutions from single implant restorations to full arch cases 
  • Basic knowledge of design software, preferably 3Shape / Exocad 
  • Basic knowledge of Milling CAM Software / Hardware 
  • Basic knowledge of 3D printing / Nesting 
  • Ability to problem solve complex crown and bridge / implant cases 
  • Experience in creating, maintaining and distributing workflows 
  • Basic Removable knowledge 
  • Basic knowledge of case entry / case management systems
