Head Start Family Worker

Paradise Christian School is currently looking to hire a Head Start Family Worker/Assistant.

Qualifications:
Education:
  • Must have an AA degree or higher
  • Meet DCF Requirements ( 45 hours and pre-hire mandatory courses)
  • Preferably with a case manager or family worker degree (if not willing to complete it)
  • Preferably with a Director Credential, or enrollment upon hiring

Experience:
  • Must have experience with Early Head Start and/ or Head Start program
  • Must have experience working in Early Childhood with children ages ( 0-5)
  • Preferably have a director or early childhood leadership experience. 

Language:
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Have good English grammar and spelling when writing anecdotes and other documents. 

Computer Skills required:
  • Have excellent computer skills, rapid data entry
  • upload and download with the correct labeling of folders
  • Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Preferably experience with Childplus and Procare
  • Use search engine

Other:
  • Be able to pass a Level 2 background check
  • Be able to pass a drug test
  • Have Good communication
  • Able to relate with families
  • Assist with families' needs
  • Be able to complete enrollment and registration of children
  • Be able to monitor and track information
  • Be a person who can Multi-task
  • Be flexible with your work schedule
