Nurse, Medical Assistant and Office Receptionist/Administrator

Altheda Medical Center offers multi-specialty medical services on a mission to provide high-quality and easily accessible care. Our starting focused offerings consist of primary care, special medical exams, occupational health, behavioral health, wellness and aesthetics.  Our tech-integrated and patient-centered focus aims to redefine the traditional healthcare delivery standards practiced in conventional outpatient settings.

We are looking for Nurse, Medical Assistant and Office Receptionist/Administrator to support our operations and interdepartmental clinical workflows.

Responsibilities:
  • Checking in and out patients
  • Responsible for welcoming patients and visitors in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
  • Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival and reviewing service delivery compared to schedule
  • Send/receive patient medical records in accordance with Health Insurance
  • Prepare patient rooms, set up instruments and equipment according to department protocol
  • Check schedules and organizing patient flow
  • Accompany patients to exam/procedure room
  • Assist patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc
  • Perform phlebotomy and administer intravenous (IV) therapy (Nurse).
  • Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e., OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health)
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data

Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service/phone skills
  • Ability to multi-task in busy environment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Understanding in Medical/Psychiatric terminology
  • Superior communication skills both written and oral
  • Nurse: Current Pennsylvania state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Medical Assistant: Diploma or degree from a Medical Assistant training program or a national certification in Medical Assisting
