Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.Senior Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate has also experience collaborating and/or managing Junior Accountants.

Responsibilities:

• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
• Supporting month-end and year-end close
• Preparing financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
• Assisting with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses
• Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules
• Monitoring Periodic Inventory Count
• Create Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess financial performance. 
• Assisting with initial internal control evaluations
• Preparing Policies and Procedures for different Financial Processes
• Supervising accounting staff

 Requirements and skills:

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, chief or senior accountant
• Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Solid knowledge of financial statements
• Advanced experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Odoo accounting software knowledge or equivalent
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant
• Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
