Feast Coast Hospitality, which oversees hospitality brands Original Grain, XO Taco, Fly Bird fried chicken, and Hot Stuff Sauce is looking for experienced Sushi Chefs for a new restaurant operation in Syracuse, NY.

 Responsibilities:
  • Prepare all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri and sashimi
  • Manage food prep activities, like boiling rice, breaking down fish, preparing sauces, ect. 
  • Coordinate with wait staff to accommodate special requests, food allergies, specials
  • Prepare appetizers, soups and salads that are close to the philosophy of Japanese cuisine
  • Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed
  • Recommend new, modern recipes, and specials
  • Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean your space at the end of the shift
Requirements and skills:
  • Work experience as a Sushi Chef at an Asian restaurant
  • Good knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
  • Ability to work both fast and accurately
  • Be a team leader and help train and inform co-workers.
