JOB SUMMARY: We provide Comprehensive Preventive, Diagnostic, and Chronic Disease Management for individuals and families throughout the Austin, Texas area. We are seeking an MD for our outpatient Clinic with Family Practice experience and an open mind to Functional Wellness and natural medicine.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:  
  • Salary:  Up To $250,000.00 
  • Potential Relocation Package
  • Sign-On Bonus Up To $25,000 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervising Physicians direct, review, teach, and support the work of our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to ensure that appropriate treatment is provided consistent with state law and company philosophy.
  • Physically examine patients; perform initial patient screenings and patient history and physical examinations.
  • Conduct health assessments including recording complete medical history.
  • Record symptoms: update patient records and check records for accuracy at each patient appointment.
  • Order and interpret laboratory test results.
  • Make diagnoses; analyze test data and determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options.
  • Develop a treatment plan that may include applicable therapies.
  • Follow up on a patient to determine the effectiveness of recommended treatments.
  • Deliver quality care while maintaining all company metrics about productivity.
  • Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, and counseling and guides any patients with critical conditions.
  • Provide patient education to promote habits that will prevent diseases and maintain good health.

Qualifications:
  • Family Practice Specialty.  
  • Board Certification.
  • Active Unrestrictive TX MD or DO license.
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
  • A physician shall also meet all qualifications for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
  • Active NPI Report and DEA License required.
  • The management of Family Medicine Austin does not interfere with the Patient-Provider relationship, nor do we guide Providers toward specific therapies or prescriptions. The selected MD will align with the philosophy.
