We are looking for a committed, detail-oriented, upbeat individual looking to start a career in a rapidly growing orthodontic office Someone who shares the passion, vision, and values of our practice. Must be able to multi-task, be willing to be cross-trained in different areas of the office, work in a fast-paced environment, and be willing to travel to all three office locations. 

Position Summary:
  • The Sterilization Technician is a key member of the Orthodontics department, where the primary duty will be functioning as a Sterilization Technician.
  • The Sterilization Technician will work independently to ensure instruments used for procedures are clean/ sterilized and working properly.
  • The goal is to optimize flow so patients are provided with high-quality care.
  • The Sterilization technician must wear personal protective equipment such as protective eyewear, masks; and utility gloves while sterilizing and follow specific company and OSHA procedures when handling hazardous materials. Cleanliness above all is essential. Punctuality and a professional demeanor at all times are required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform all duties with excellence.
  • Properly sterilize and pack all instruments and equipment under department policy.
  • Perform all opening, closing, and maintenance procedures described in the sterilization and maintenance policies handbook.
  • Restock and maintain an inventory of sterilization supplies and instruments to ensure a constant level is always available.
  • Communicate to the lead assistant and ordering personnel any supplies that need replenishing or replacement.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness in the sterilization area and toothbrushing area. Perform mandatory weekly spore testing and maintain a log for records.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of Autoclave.
  • Restock all stations daily with supplies needed.
  • Maintain laundry (lab coats and towels) along with taking trash & recycling out.
  • Seat patients, assist clinical assistants, set up and tear down patient chairs between patients.
  • Other duties may include participating in team activities, replenishing patient education material and JLO swag, and community involvement events.

  • MUST BE A REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT IN WASHINGTON STATE
