VMG RENOVATION is a small family-owned business looking for a full-time remodeler's handyman specializing in Tile-Setting and Cerpentry. Most of the work is in Napa, Sonoma area. Pay commensurate with experience and/or ability, personal tools, and use of own work vehicle.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to handle home remodeling projects.
  • Must have the ability to keep his uniform and work area clean at all times.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Works well with homeowners and great customer service.
  • Aptitude to fix things and solve issues.
  • Communicate with the supervisor the cause of the issue and proposed a solution prior to starting work.
  • Exhibits a safety-first approach.
  • Should have experience in most of these areas. (Demolition, Sheetrock patch/repairs, Taping, Painting, Replacing faucets, Replacing light fixtures, Flooring Installation, Tilling installation,  Interior trim finishing, General carpentry).
  • Basic level of experience in electrical.
  • Basic level of plumbing experience.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, car insurance, transportation, and basic hand tools (most work is within 20 miles of Sonoma/Napa).
  • Ability to follow directions and be attentive to details.
  • Extremely honest, ethical, and courteous.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Enjoy a wide variety of projects.
  • A desire to help homeowners. This is a highly satisfying job. We work with a lot of great customers. Relationships are developed. We get to know them and often, work for the same people over and over.
  • Training is provided.
  • Background check required.
  • Periodic drug testing is required.
While there are days with heavy lifting, there are plenty of light days. VMG has worked well for experienced remodelers that are looking to use their knowledge to assist homeowners on smaller projects.
