Quality Inspector

- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
- 7 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday, overtime, and weekends as necessary.
- Accurately perform hardness and other tests and record results as required.
- Perform calibration of all testing equipment accurately and on schedule.
- Perform audits, weekly probes, surveys, etc. as needed or defined by procedure and/or schedule.
- May be required to complete conformance certificates and/or other related paperwork.
- Promote safety and good housekeeping practices.
- This position will allow for cross-training and development of additional skills.
- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years experience in metal components, as an inspector, or working in the heat treating industry preferred, but not required.
- Must have the ability to obtain a working knowledge of all testing equipment and terminology.
- Some experience reading/interpreting blueprints/specifications is preferred, but not required.
- Detail-oriented and possess manual dexterity.
- May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required.
- Must be able to work in a sitting and standing position for extended periods of time in an office/industrial environment.
- Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone.
