Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement Federal Credit Union is looking for a Loan Servicing Specialist.  We are an established, strong organization looking for someone who enjoys helping others and building relationships. This position is located at the Credit Union’s Lone Tree Branch, 700 W. 39th Avenue, Denver, CO 80216. This is a full-time, in-office, position. Working hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with an occasional start time of 7:00 am.

Position Description:Responsible for loan servicing of the first mortgage and consumer loan portfolio, includes all procedures necessary to maintain a loan from the time of its closing to the date it is paid in full. Assist in answering member inquiries regarding payments, taxes or insurance.  Place emphasis on quality control to protect the assets of the Credit Union and to prevent losses.  Organize all servicing related functions to ensure correct and proper records are maintained. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Process and track all insurance and tax payments on first mortgages
  • Make payment adjustments as necessary, issue payoff statements
  • Process paid loans including releasing the recorded lien
  • Record new loan deeds of trust 
  • Update and oversee the escrow tracking 
  • Ensure proper documentation on closed, declined, and withdrawn loans 
  • Process subordination, loan modification and skip pay requests
  • Loan rotation assignments
  • Make initial collection calls
  • Maintain orderly file room
  • Synergy filing/support
  • Research and respond to E-Oscar inquiries
  • Run exception reports as need or required
  • Pay member real estate taxes in February and June of each year, monitor loans for any delinquent taxes.  Maintain information on Lereta software. 
  • Perform escrow analysis each March and mail to members
  • Coordinate the preparation and mailing of 1098 tax statements
  • HMDA reporting (quarterly audits and annual submission)
  • Maintain State National records and process changes as needed
  • Member follow-up on HELOC inquiries on Value Check software
  • Stays apprised of BSA and AML regulations reporting any required information to the BSA team. 
  • Perform other related duties, including special projects as required or requested

Qualification requirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 
Education and/or Experience:Minimum of one year of similar or related experience.  Other related lending experience will be taken into consideration, knowledge of applicable regulations or legal documentation.High school degree or equivalent 
Skills Required:A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.  Work involves extensive contact with others inside and outside of the Credit Union and is usually personal or sensitive in nature.  Outside contact is important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies, governmental agencies, and/or individuals) is necessary. 
Work Environment:Essential duties are performed in a general office work environment and regularly require sitting at a workstation/desk using a computer, calculator, copier, fax machine and other office machines and equipment.  Also, involves occasional kneeling, squatting, bending, walking, crouching, stooping and possible lifting, up to 30 pounds to stack and store supplies. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Ability to work in a team environment that is open and able to block out distractions.  Compliance with safety procedures is required.
