SERVER- JOB DESCRIPTION AND EXPECTATIONS

At Salt and Vine we strive to give our guests the most comfortable and enjoyable dining experience possible.
A great attitude, and a passion for food and drink is always required
We expect you to be on time for every shift, please call the restaurant if you will be running late
As a server you are responsible for greeting your guests, presenting menus if necessary, and explaining daily/weekly specials
Be extremely knowledgeable of all menus and be ready for any questions a guest might ask
Be very aware and sensitive of any food allergies, and YOU are responsible for informing the management/chef of all allergies
Take careful and accurate food and beverage orders and be extremely familiar with our Toast POS system
Know seat numbers and ring in your order accordingly.
Help to run food out of the kitchen as well as drinks from the bar to the correct tables
Able to pace out and time your tables food and beverage orders according to the pace of the dining room as a whole—and the pace of your guest’s experience
Prepare itemized checks and take payment
Be responsible for the maintenance of all your tables. Making sure your guests are dining in a tidy, uncluttered table. It’s your real estate
Be responsible for your fair share of running, opening and end of the night side work
Must be a team player
