Job Summary:
Join our team as a Forklift Operator at BWT Logistics In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation of sit-down forklifts with extended forks, managing the movement of materials and deliveries within the warehouse. Your expertise will ensure the efficient handling and transport of products, contributing to the smooth operation of our facility. If you have experience with sit-down forklifts and a strong understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate sit-down forklifts with extended forks to lift, move, and place pallets and materials.
  • Safely load and unload materials, transporting them to designated storage locations.
  • Follow established stacking procedures to maximize warehouse space and ensure safety.
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections and report any maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Support additional tasks such as loading and unloading.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Participate in inventory counts, audits, and training programs to enhance your skills.
  • Communicate any operational issues or safety concerns promptly.
Shift Information:
  • Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Weekend work may be required to meet business needs, with ample notice provided in advance.
Qualifications:
  • 3-4 years of experience operating sit-down forklifts with extended forks.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Certification in forklift operation is a plus, with on-site testing available during hiring.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
