Our client is a leading seafood wholesale company in the food distribution industry, renowned for delivering premium quality fresh foods and perishable items across the nation. They are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Manager to oversee our logistics and transportation operations, bringing innovative strategies and exceptional management to elevate our logistics department to new heights. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our high-volume transportation and distribution networks.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Lead and optimize the logistics operations focusing on fresh foods and perishables, ensuring products are delivered in a timely and cost-efficient manner while maintaining quality standards.
  • Develop and implement robust logistics strategies that enhance product freshness, reduce spoilage, and streamline operations.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, transporters, and warehouse operators, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and performance metrics.
  • Oversee the integration of advanced technology and logistics software to enhance tracking, real-time data accuracy, and supply chain transparency.
  • Conduct continuous analysis of supply chain processes, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to enhance speed and reduce costs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employing Lean principles and other efficiency-enhancing methodologies within the logistics team.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to align logistics with overall business objectives.
  • Prepare and manage the logistics budget, ensuring operational goals are met within financial constraints.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics professionals, promoting a proactive work environment and encouraging career growth and professional development.

**Required Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role specifically managing perishable goods and fresh food products.
  • Proven track record of managing high-volume transportation networks.
  • Strong familiarity with industry-standard logistics software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or similar is a Plus
  • Prior experience in a high-growth company or rapidly scaling operations.
