KEY QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Candidate MUST HAVE: Solid preventative maintenance (PM) background in the following areas:
  • Compressors
  • Battery chargers
  • Dock Doors
  • HVAC units
  • AC units
  • Pallet Jacks
  • Scissor Lifts

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and experience in facilities maintenance. This role is crucial in ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs across various systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they arise.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings for effective repairs.
  • Utilize logic controllers for troubleshooting automated systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Operate tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
  • Fabricate parts or components as necessary to support maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in residential painting projects when required.
  • Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors during specific projects.

Experience:
  • Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience reading schematics and working with logic controllers is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS for tracking maintenance tasks and inventory management.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter effectively.
  • Previous experience in supervising teams or projects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of fabrication techniques and residential painting is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
