Position Overview

The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the company’s quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This role involves conducting inspections, tests, and audits to identify and resolve quality issues, while maintaining detailed documentation of findings and corrective actions. The QA Technician plays a critical role in upholding the company's commitment to delivering high-quality products to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspection & Testing:
    • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet specifications.
    • Perform functional, dimensional, and visual tests using specialized equipment and tools.
    • Record and analyze test data to identify trends or anomalies.

  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inspections, tests, and audits.
    • Ensure products comply with company standards, industry regulations, and customer specifications.
    • Assist in preparing and maintaining quality documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, and inspection plans.

  • Problem Identification & Resolution:
    • Identify non-conformances and collaborate with production teams to resolve issues promptly.
    • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action planning.
    • Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance product quality.

  • Auditing:
    • Conduct internal audits of production processes and quality management systems.

  • Communication:
    • Liaise with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and management, to address quality concerns.
    • Provide feedback and training to production staff regarding quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Associate degree or certification in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance role in a manufacturing environment.

  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
    • Proficiency in using computers and quality management software.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or GMP is a plus.
