Front Desk Receptionist

Job Type: Part-time
- Booking patient appointments, recording and scanning information in proper location.
- Contacting outside facilities and processing related paperwork, such as other physician offices, hospitals, and surgical centers, and providing them with the necessary information
- Following up on patients to ensure necessary appointments have been completed
- Contacting patients with pertinent information regarding their scheduled appointments.
- Preparing paperwork and other documents as needed for the therapist
- Addressing patient concerns and questions as needed
- Additional hours may be available at our other locations to cover for other employees who have time off
Skills/ Abilities:
- Ability to multitask between scheduling appointments in person and over the phone.
- Demonstrated knowledge and compliance with all HIPAA regulations
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Experience working on an EMR (electronic medical record) required
- Must possess proficient computer skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively with therapists and other staff.
- Must have excellent time-management skills
- Must have outstanding professional medical phone communication skills and can coordinate with outside facilities to obtain patient medical information, following HIPAA regulations
- Ability to relay information in a positive manner and calm patients, presenting solutions for their problems
Schedule:
- Tuesday and Thursday, 8am to 5 pm
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Medical receptionist: 2 years (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
Job Type: Part-time
