Immediate openings with hourly pay based on experience – now at Watkins Express Freight.

The Watkins Express family is growing, and we’re currently hiring a Diesel Mechanic to work out of our service center in Hopkinsville, KY.  As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance and repairs of company fleet equipment.

CDL-A Diesel Mechanic Benefits:
  • Weekly pay based on experience ($18 - $25/hour)

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • PM of CDL-A trucks and trailers
  • Tire and lube work
  • Brake inspection/repair
  • Engine/transmission diagnoses/repair
  • A/C repair
  • Steering repair

This position requires physical exertion and flexibility with hours.

Qualified candidates are:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Available to work Saturdays & Sundays
  • Familiar with Freightliner trucks
  • Familiar with Detroit engines
  • Able to diagnose check-engine lights
  • Familiar with OEM software
  • Able to update a power unit
  • Able to do an annual inspection on tractors and trailers
