Role and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Project Manager will lead and supervise landscaping employees, ensuring they work effectively and efficiently. As well as, train and evaluate staff, ensure employees adhere to company policies and safety guidelines, and report any unsafe conditions. 
  • Manage and supervise a team that primarily composed of individuals with disabilities
  • Coordinate safety gear and equipment safeguards.
  • Organize, plan, and direct landscaping and maintenance operations, including scheduling work for timely completion.
  • Maintain the goals, standards, and objectives of the facility and company. 
  • Perform final inspections to ensure quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance at the end of each day. 
  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of their team, escalating issues to the appropriate level of support and/or leadership when necessary.
  • Recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising staff members to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Complies with all established company policies and procedures while upholding the security and confidentiality of documents and data.
  • Responsible for maintaining, tracking, computing, and adjustments to attendance records and payroll.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including food safety standards, health codes, and military guidelines.
  • Overseeing cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of the premises and equipment.
  • Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to the team.
  • Maintains cleanliness standards and proper signage at all times.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (OR) additional education or certifications in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field (Preferred). Relevant experience can also be considered in place of formal education. 
  • Minimum of Two (2) years’ experience in landscaping or ground maintenance, with a focus on quality control and inspections. 
  • Knowledge of landscaping equipment, tools, and materials. 
  • Understanding of safety regulations and environmental guidelines related to landscaping. 

Qualifications & Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum of (3) three years’ supervisory experience in a landscaping/grounds setting
  • Experience working with persons with disabilities or disabling conditions

Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of how to operate in a managerial role.
  • Knowledge of how to effectively schedule workers.
  • Familiarity with Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to organize and establish work processes

  • Strong commitment to a high level of service and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, develop, and lead teams.
  • Ability to plan and organize.
  • Proficient in technological and computer software skills.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, gran and lift up to fifty (25) lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk the entire shift.
