The construction surveyor will play a vital role in the construction process. This person will ensure that the measurements for the structure of the building are precise and accurate. You will work very closely with all staff on each project, which includes Project Managers, Superintendents, Craft Workers, and others included in the construction phase.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and support to those constructing the building by ensuring that everything is aligned correctly.
  • Utilize instruments such as GPS, total stations, and prisms.
  • Interpret construction drawings to develop an accurate layout plan.
  • Maintain scheduling by communicating with those in charge of running the project.
  • Conduct regular inspections to verify that work performed by others is accurate.
  • Resolve any conflicts that may arise during construction related to layout.
Requirements: 
  • Proficient using AutoCAD or other design drafting software.
  • Works independently and can prioritize layout tasks efficiently.
  • Is available to work weekends if necessary.
  • Has a valid license and can travel to other projects as needed.
  • Organized and can work ahead schedule.
  • Excellent math skills with the ability to perform precise measurements and calculations.
Working conditions: 
  • Able to work outside in various weather conditions.
