About the JobAs a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:Medical Receptionist:
  • Patient check in/check out.
  • Answering phone calls.
  • Scheduling and sending messages to providers as needed.
  • Entering patient demographics.
  • Maintain and update patient health records.
  • Collect copays.
  • Complete patient forms, referrals, and appointment tasks.
  • Pull patient forms for next business day.
  • Prior Authorizations.
  • Communicate with hospitals, specialty departments and other provider offices for patient related information.
  • Prepare medical records as needed.
  • Checking faxes throughout the day.

Requirements and skills:
  • Proven working experience as a Medical Assistant or Medical Receptionist.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Excellent computer and typing skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate with fellow staff members.
