Position Overview:
We are seeking a versatile and motivated LVN or AEMT to be cross trained in multiple departments, including Allergy, IV Therapy, and Advanced Physicals. This position offers the unique opportunity to perform a range of clinical tasks, from allergy testing and IV therapy to conducting advanced diagnostics like spirometry and EEG. You will play a crucial role in enhancing patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our ancillary services.

Key Responsibilities by Department:Allergy Department:
  • Conduct environmental and food allergy testing using established protocols.
  • Assist in preparing and administering immunotherapy treatments (both SCIT and SLIT).
  • Maintain accurate records of allergy test results and immunotherapy in the EMR system.
  • Educate patients on allergy testing procedures, results interpretation, and treatment plans.
IV Therapy Department:
  • Administer Vitamin IV therapies following proper safety protocols.
  • Manage patient records and weekly infusion logs in the EMR.
  • Handle inventory for IV therapy supplies, ensuring stock is ordered and maintained.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and coordinate with patients regarding treatment plans.
Advanced Physicals Department:
  • Perform advanced diagnostic tests such as spirometry, fundus exams, ANS testing, Sudo, and EEGs.
  • Prepare and manage patient charts, ensuring all tests are performed and recorded accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines for diagnostic tests.
  • Assist in managing workflow and ensuring timely scheduling of physicals.
General Duties:
  • Cross-train and assist in multiple ancillary services to provide flexibility and coverage.
  • Maintain inventory and supplies in all departments, ensuring stock is sufficient for daily operations.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and the medical team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide patient education and guidance across all ancillary services.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.

Requirements:
  • LVN or AEMT certification/license.
  • IV experience is required.
  • Allergy and advanced diagnostic experience (spirometry, ANS, EEG) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (preferably eClinicalWorks).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient care.
  • Ability to travel and work at either of our locations in Austin or Leander.
