Job Description: Vertical Continuous Vulcanization is a process to apply various shields and insulations to strand as required by product design
Brief Summary of Primary Duties:
  • Regular and predictable attendance throughout the shift is an essential function of this position
  • Ability to utilize SOP’s, TI’s, and CDA’s as resourse documents
  • Ability to operate the vertical continuous vulcanization extruder, sealbox,welder,gears,take ups,payoffs, and printers
  • Ability to understand the concept of the line and produce quality cable with minimal scrap
  • Ability to completely and efficiently change machine from one product to another and maintain high efficiency

  • Ability to preform mathematical calculations and measurements
  • Substain a shop floor enviroment with operators helping each other

Specific Skills/Training Required
  • On shop floor Maximo training
  • On shop floor basic computer training –including but not limited to SAP, MDC, DCS
  • Ability to utilize measuring equipment – including but not limited to OD tap. Calibers, micrometer, electronic measuring equipment
  • Forklift Training

Education:
  • High School/GED Diploma

Experience:
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required

Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements:
  • Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production areas
  • Hearing Protection required in posted areas
