Service Advisor

SERVICE ADVISOR / ASSISTANT MANAGERA successful independent full service car and light truck repair facility in the Porter Texas area requires a Service Advisor to manage the daily production activities, either in association with or in the absence of the owner.  This position can evolve into a significant management position for the right candidate. 
QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to clearly demonstrate their ability to set and reach performance goals in an ethical manner. 
• The candidate must have the ability to meet with customers to identify their needs in order to sell repair estimates and recommended maintenance services while working well under pressure. In addition, you must be able to resolve customer issues in a professional and expedient manner.  
• A minimum of three years of experience in similar roles in the automotive industry and a valid drivers licence is required.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITYThe Service Advisor is responsible for all the daily productivity of the business. This includes company profitability and 100% customer satisfaction.  They must also maintain positive customer and employee relationships by operating in accordance with approved company policies and procedures.
DUTIES

• Open shop and get business going in the morning.
• Manage daily technical production which includes producing their own work.
• Meet and greet all customers in a gracious, professional manner.
• Effectively communicate with customers to determine the nature of their concerns.
• Write and sell service or repair orders to assist in the achievement of monthly performance goals.
• Use digital vehicle inspections to educate customers on why we are making recommendations.
• Up sell by advising customers on effective car care.
• Test drive vehicles and perform quality control inspections.
• Be proficient in using an in depth point of sale system.
• Order parts and services from a variety of suppliers.
• Keep the shop clean and presentable through ongoing image inspections.
• Hold semi monthly meeting with technicians
• Review monthly sales, expenditures and KPI indicators with the management team.
• Wrap up business and close up shop at the end of the day.

SCHEDULEMust be able to work a minimum of 50 hours per week Monday through Friday and the occasional Saturday.
PAY$48,000 to $78,000 / year which is made up of a base salary plus bonus incentives.
