The Well Service Manager position is responsible for supporting the Sr. Well Service Manager with safely running multiple workover rigs in the fleet and the day-to-day operational requirements of daylight and 24-hour services in field safety compliance, coordination and supervision of the rig activities and scheduling of the field crews, job or project management, administration and technical support, and field equipment maintenance and management. These objectives will be achieved by having oil field rig experience technical oil field equipment knowledge and detail-oriented skills with the ability to identify discrepancy issues and take corrective actions as required.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Responsible for field activity coordination and scheduling. Handling administrative duties in this role (Hiring/terminations/disciplinary actions) and the scheduling of equipment needs for the fleet.
  • Coordinates and helps supervise rig activities of the coordinators and field crews.
  • Monitors daily progress of jobs or projects. Goes out to rig ups, new customer rig ups, etc.
  • Consistent communication and liaison with customer representatives and operations management throughout projects.
  • Works together with HSE field representatives on Axis field safety culture to rig crews.
  • Provides technical guidance and work direction to field supervisors.
  • Regular audits on inspections and preventative maintenance initiatives on rig/service equipment
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to operations management to promote high-level service to customers.
  • Handles special projects as assigned. 
  • Works in a safe, healthy, and environmentally protective manner
  • Presents a positive attitude, always being a good mentor, coach, and leader. Take pride in what you do daily, and your employees will follow.
  • Prevents incidents, by making safety a priority, developing a safety culture on the rig, observing, and modifying any at-risk behavior or equipment. Getting out to the location to check on job readiness and crew competency.
  • Conducts all business activities in accordance with Axis Energy Services policies, safety compliance requirements, and Axis Core Values

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • 7+ years of experience in well servicing.
  • Solid experience in rig execution, service delivery, and crew scheduling
  • Advanced knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions and ability to guide others in safe practices.
  • Basic math, writing, computer, communication, and interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Self-starter and ability to work with limited direct supervision.
  • Mobility and ability to use ladders or other access devices up to 15 ft.; ability to bend, stoop, twist, stand, squat, crawl, and walk.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written; English preferred
  • Ability to interact with others in a team and fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a valid, active state-issued driver's license.
  • Reliable telephone (cell phone) communication and transportation
  • Ability to clear eligibility on Axis pre-employment requirements
  • Receipt of proof of eligibility to work in the United States, as required by law.
