Job Description:

We specialize in Early Intervention and Autism services, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. With over 25 years in the pediatric field of Early Intervention, we are dedicated to increasing representation for people of all backgrounds in our industry.

Responsibilities
  • Implement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner
  • Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises
  • Identify patient’s needs and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences
  • Recommend options, courses of action or modifications in selected treatments ensuring patient’s progress, safety and comfort
  • Apply the latest research and address Pediatric Gross Motor Delays impeding Functional life skills
  • Complete documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy services
  • Perform selected data collection and obtain accurate information
  • Measure performance and report on patient’s medical record
  • Participate in patient status judgments
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards
  • Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge

Other responsibilities:
  • Provide home-based services to clients 0-3 yrs old that are specific to clinician’s discipline.
  • Provide services without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, age, handicap or source of payment.
  • Attend an orientation program provided by the agency in order to become familiar with its policies and procedures.
  • Comply with agency’s corporate compliance program and EI’s rules and regulations.
  • Provide services in the child’s home/day care center/natural environment.
  • Write evaluation reports (if applicable), session notes, quarterly progress reports, letters of justification and any other pertinent documentation for each child assigned to clinician in accordance with agency’s policies and procedures as well as state and city’s early intervention rules and regulations and guidelines.
  • Document sessions using Providersoft session note app.
  • Participate in a minimum of ten (10) clock hours of professional development activities per calendar year
  • Inform staffing coordinator of any issues that affect service delivery.

Session Details
  • 30 min and 1 hour session available

Pay Range:30 min session $63-$68

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $65.00 - $72.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekends as needed

License/Certification:
  • NYS License in Physical Therapy (Required)
