Behavior Technician 
 Schedule: Monday through FridayJob Description: We are actively seeking compassionate and dedicated behavior technicians to provide essential support to students in school-based settings. Join a dynamic team that is focused on improving the educational and behavioral outcomes of students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 or classroom support to students in grades K-12, ranging from mild to severe behavioral challenges, ensuring individualized attention.
  • Assist with managing behavioral issues, including physical and verbal aggressions, emotional outbursts, and challenges related to medically fragile students.
  • Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and provide support during episodes of elopement, self-injurious behaviors, and other special needs situations.
  • Facilitate toileting and diapering assistance, as needed, ensuring dignity and respect for students.
  • Use positive reinforcement strategies such as token economies, visual schedules, and sensory tools to help students meet their IEP goals and objectives.
  • Support social skills development, classroom engagement, and academic participation, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Training & Development:
  • 4-hour online training in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) basics provided to ensure foundational knowledge and skills before starting.
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities, including access to the Bridge Academy, which provides advanced coursework to enhance your skills and further your education in special education and ABA principles.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma with at least 60 college credits, or higher education (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
  • Must have 1 year of ABA experience
  • School experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassion, patience, and a deep commitment to helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Criminal background check and LiveScan fingerprinting.
