Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children within the outpatient clinic programs.
  • Use evidence-based interventions appropriate for each child and their written outcomes.
  • Documentation within the practice’s electronic medical record.
  • Maintain communication with the child’s primary physician and other healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, or other forms of communication.
  • Assists in program development activities.
  • Participate in trainings and staff meetings.
  • Ensures an exceptional experience for children and families.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with Certification of Clinical Competencies (CCC).
  • Licensure: Active Virginia state license.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong written and verbal communication skills, professional documentation, clinical reasoning, and time management skills.
  • Clearance: Successful completion of FBI background check and negative TB test.
  • Physical Demands: · Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, carry, push, pull, walk, or run, as well as lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pediatric Experience: previous experience in pediatrics is a plus
  • Specialization: Experience in areas including Feeding and Swallowing, AAC, Floor-time and/or Sensory Integration
  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish
