The Life Skills and Workforce Specialist will work directly with the Program Director and programming team to ensure the delivery of youth delinquency and violence prevention activities. The Program Director is a member of the senior management team to ensure organizational programming and events meet strategic objectives. The LITE Coach specialist is responsible for centralized intake of all newly registered participants.

This role is responsible for:
  • Having the first point of contact with new client registrations.
  • Assigning new clients to the LITE Coach and program that is best suited for their needs.
  • Coaching clients through roadblocks and initiating life plans.
  • Know and understand all the programs that LITE offers.
  • Manage a modified caseload of participants.
  • Timely completion of required file documentation.
  • Ability to communicate with clients, community members and business owners about LITE programs.
  • Effectively promote and market the programs to target markets and key stakeholders.
  • Network with community businesses and organizations to secure new worksites for youth job placements.
  • Attend meetings to build relationships and community partnerships.
  • Conduct presentations at various venues to discuss LITE programs and activities.
  • Efficient time management is critical to be successful in this role.
  • Attendance and active participation in meetings are required.
  • Some travel around the Chicagoland area.
 Qualifications and Educational Requirements:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Social Services.
  • Proven experience in building community relationships and partnerships. 
  • Life Coaching experience or certification is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Proviso area.
  • Working knowledge of MS office and Microsoft Teams. 
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills. 
  • An analytical mindset with great problem – solving abilities. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Must have a valid driver license and insurance. 
  • Must have a cleared LITE background check. 
  • Must be personable and friendly. 
  • Must be highly organized, detail focused have excellent time management. 
  • Must be flexible and work as part of a team. 
  • Must have ability to solve practical problems. 
  • Must have excellent engagement skills with populations with target population.
