As a Facilities Associate at Juniper, you will perform general maintenance duties on all levels and spaces, as well as the interior and exterior of the factory and warehouse. You will also play a pivotal role in producing our unique lighting solutions. You will have the opportunity to be cross-trained in various areas of our production floor, assisting with tasks such as machining, cutting packaging, and other functions as needed.  To excel in this role, you should be proactive, take pride in your work, and have a positive team player attitude. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and full functionality of the receiving area, factory, and warehouse. Performs routine custodial duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, surface cleaning, and sanitizing throughout the facility. (This includes surfaces, mirrors, refrigerators, windows, ducts, and company vehicle)
  • Restocking paper and soap supplies throughout the facility. 
  • Empties trash receptacles, disposes trash into dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal. 
  • Ensures proper care in using and maintaining equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. (Cleaning/changing filters and fans, lubing and oil changes on machines as needed) 
  • Diagnosing and correcting mechanical issues; troubleshooting equipment or machine issues to determine necessary repairs; and repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary. 
  • Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities based on seasonal/project requirements.   
  • Using a forklift and pallet jack driver, assists with transporting, retrieving, and organizing raw materials and other components between the warehouse and factory.  
  • Uses the company vehicle to transport material from vendors. 
  • Support the shipping department on calls from the facilities manager for any packaging and shipping needs. 
  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize facility procedures.  

Minimum Requirements: 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.  
  • At least two years of experience handling maintenance duties. 
  • Experience performing routine maintenance. 
  • Proficient knowledge of using and maintaining industrial cleaning equipment and appliances. 
  • Proficient knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components. 
  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts. 
  • Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. 
  • Ability to use standard tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches. 
  • Strong time management skills. 
  • Physically agile and dexterous. 
  • Good organizational skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
 Physical Requirements:  
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods.  
  • Ability to climb staircases, ladders, and step stools. 
  • Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and climb occasionally.  
  • Ability to operate machinery and associated equipment.   
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
