Acme Manufacturing is searching for a Machine Operator to play a vital role in our production process. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual seeking to launch or advance their career in the manufacturing industry. This position starts at $21.00 per hour and works Monday-Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm at our facility at I-70 and Monaco. Our machine operator positions operate roll form presses, threading machines, punch presses, forklifts, and hand tools in a warehouse environment making metal shapes used in the home improvement industry.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Our machine operators operate roll form presses, threading machines, punch presses, perforators, wash-lines, forklifts, and other machines required to make metal shapes. This is a physical job, requiring the frequent loading and unloading of materials. You will set-up and monitor machines, troubleshoot stoppages, and ensure finished products are up to our quality standards.
Other responsibilities include:
  • Adherence with our safety regulations.
  • Material handling, loading, and unloading of machines.
  • Basic machine maintenance, making adjustments, lubrication, and set-up. 
  • Performing quality checks on finished products.

Who we are seeking in an applicant:
  • We are willing to train someone to run various types of machinery if they are willing to learn and have good mechanical aptitude.
Other qualifications include:
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Proficient using gauges, tape measures, and other basic hand tools.
  • Ability to document production and quality standards information.
  • Familiarity with and willingness to adhere to warehouse and manufacturing safety standards. 
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and interact in a physically demanding position.
  • Willingness to spend most of the day on your feet.
