Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an American Occupational Therapy Association-approved institution.
- ESA School Occupational certificate.
- Active license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state Washington.
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Dedication to professional growth and development.
- Maintain confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
- Assess referred students for special education through appropriate testing and diagnostic practice.
- Interpret testing results and implications to school staff, parents and students as needed.
- Writes occupational therapy reports and completes eligibility reports.
- Confers with teachers and parents through conducting classroom observations and provide feedback.
- Participate in student support meetings, and assisting in collaborative problem-solving.
- Contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEP).
- Other duties assigned by the Director of Special Services.
